At the University of Tokyo, we have an amazing Cheering Club that brings excitement and energy to sports games and events! Our team is made up of three groups: the Cheer Callers, who lead the crowd in cheering; the Brass Band, which plays powerful music; and Cheerleaders, who perform high-energy routines.
We support our university’s sports teams throughout the year, perform at school events, and even put on a big Annual Concert, “Tansei-sai”with a mix of music, cheerleading, and dynamic performances. Our goal is to boost team spirit and create unforgettable moments for both players and fans.
If you love sports, music, or just having fun while supporting others, the Cheering club is the place to be!

Coro Letizia is the official women’s choir of the University of Tokyo, composed solely of female students, and was established in 2009. As the university’s representative choir, we perform the university’s songs at official ceremonies such as the entrance and graduation ceremonies. We are the only group that gets the opportunity to sing at prestigious venues like the Budokan and Yasuda Auditorium every year. Being a choir made up entirely of female students from the University of Tokyo, we offer a unique space to form close friendships while pursuing the delicate and soft harmonies that only a women’s choir can create. Although our main focus is women’s choir music, we also perform mixed choir pieces with the University of Tokyo men’s choir, Chor Akademie, at our regular concerts and campus festivals, allowing us to enjoy richer harmonies and expand our repertoire. Additionally, we will be participating in a joint concert with Seoul National University in Korea this coming March. Beginners are more than welcome, and many of our members start with no prior experience in choir. With the guidance of a professional voice trainer, everyone is able to improve steadily and enjoy singing.
