TGIF (Eng.)

TGIF(Todai Global Interaction Friends) is a semi-official student group cooperating with the Globalization Office. The purpose of TGIF is to break down the existing barriers between the local and international students in UTokyo by organizing various events such as Halloween/Christmas Parties, picnics, trips, etc. If you are a local student interested in meeting exchange students or vice versa, come join us!

Executive branch
Not set in stone, but at the moment mainly made up of PEAK student members.

Approximately 50% female

Membership is open all year round.

General students: USTEP/KOMSTEP and PEAK students = 1:3

Withdrawal rate
Basically loosely active, with two thirds of members regularly attending management meetings and the rest attending events.

Executive Members.
Changes every semester, but some have been in place for more than a year.

Structure.
Two representatives + planning department + PR department + other members

For the year 2023.
A picnic is held every other week. In addition, an event is organised once a month.

• June: Fireworks programme
• September: Autumn welcome party
• Oct: Halloween party planning
• November: Hiking planning
• Dec: Christmas party planning In 2023, excursions to Mt Takao and Halloween and Christmas parties were organised from October to December.
