Coro Letizia (コーロ・レティツィア)

Coro Letizia is the official women’s choir of the University of Tokyo, composed solely of female students, and was established in 2009. As the university’s representative choir, we perform the university’s songs at official ceremonies such as the entrance and graduation ceremonies. We are the only group that gets the opportunity to sing at prestigious venues like the Budokan and Yasuda Auditorium every year. Being a choir made up entirely of female students from the University of Tokyo, we offer a unique space to form close friendships while pursuing the delicate and soft harmonies that only a women’s choir can create. Although our main focus is women’s choir music, we also perform mixed choir pieces with the University of Tokyo men’s choir, Chor Akademie, at our regular concerts and campus festivals, allowing us to enjoy richer harmonies and expand our repertoire. Additionally, we will be participating in a joint concert with Seoul National University in Korea this coming March. Beginners are more than welcome, and many of our members start with no prior experience in choir. With the guidance of a professional voice trainer, everyone is able to improve steadily and enjoy singing.

Shirobarakai Chorus (東京大学白ばら会合唱団)

Shirobarakai Chorus is the University of Tokyo's longest-established choir circle, with a history of 78 years. Registered with the University of Tokyo Orientation Committee and officially recognized by the Ochanomizu University, our club practices twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays. We practice in a friendly atmosphere in preparation for performances on the school festival stage and at yearly concerts. Some of our members don't have music experience, but with the coaching of a professional musician and careful voice training, everyone from beginners to the experienced can improve while having fun. The attraction of Shirobarakai is the warm atmosphere and close friendship among the members. The members are very close to each other, regardless of gender and age, and there is a lot of interaction besides practice. Many members belong to other clubs, so you can meet many unique members and enjoy the group in your own way. Please come and see the Shirobarakai Choir!
